Over the last few weeks I have been looking ahead to the fall running season and beyond. While looking at potential races in the area I found the following information-
- Zane (from the Destin Ultra Beach runs) is trying to organize the first full marathon in Destin. The deadline for the campaign is getting pretty close, so visit this page and sign up if you are interested. There will also be a half. Date will be 17 April, 2016. https://www.facebook.com/destinmarathon?ref=profile
- Panama City has announced the annual "Run for the Redfish" half marathon normally organized in early December will no longer be held. The good news is, in its place the city will hold a full marathon on 5 December, 2015.
For those of us who like a little longer distance this is great news. Our running community is growing and the opportunities to do local races are increasing all the time. A rough count of races in the local area-
